Welcome to our 1st H.O.G. Africa magazine

Fellow H.O.G. Members!

At the end of 2017, we asked members to rate which new initiatives they would value most. This brand new online magazine was one of the communication initiatives that received a high rating.

The magazine will carry news and events from H.O.G.® Chapters in South Africa, Namibia, Mauritius and Reunion, as well as experiences & stories from our diverse and multicultural members.

If you are a H.O.G. member, we look forward to sharing your passion for riding, exploring, adventure, excitement, and great times with the Southern Africa H.O.G. community. Please email us your stories, experiences on the road, your photos or event reportbacks.

In 2018, we have invited all chapters to share their Chapter events, galleries and news free on our website and Facebook. Stay up-to-date by following us on the @HOGAfrica Facebook group.

We are working on creating a richer and more diverse membership experience for our members in Southern Africa. After assessing feedback from our members, we will inform you about all those great action plans this HOG online magazine, as well as on our website.

Rider Training was mentioned as number one by the members, so we are working to increase training for 2018.

New Member Benefits

For new bike owners, delays in receiving your H.O.G.® membership pack in the post are a thing of the past. All new Harley-Davidson® motorcycles will be delivered complete with your Harley Owners Group® membership pack - and that includes your H.O.G. Eagle pin & patch, EMEA region map and the membership guide booklet. This will avoid long and frustrating waiting times and gives new members the opportunity to join in H.O.G.® activities from day one. Remember: your first year of international H.O.G.® membership is free with a new bike.

Your membership card will still be sent via post - South African delivery times are usually 6-8 weeks.

Lady members - if you would like a free Ladies Of Harley pin and patch, please contact H.O.G. Europe.

Membership Renewals

All H.O.G Membership renewal packs (after the first free year) can now be couriered to you free of charge.

Please note:

  • Email H.O.G. Europe when you renew online or via phone/email, to provide the delivery address and contact person (i.e. couriering is not automatic)
  • Packs can only be delivered during the day.
  • Please request delivery of one pack at time (not for several people together) to avoid custom charges.

Whether you’re a new rider or have years of experience in the saddle, I look forward to celebrating our 35th H.O.G.® Anniversary year with you. Now, please enjoy reading our first issue!

Ready? Kickstands up? Let’s ride and have fun! See you on the road!

Yours, Sue
H.O.G.® Experience Manager
